You may call 837-7400 daily before 8:00 am or after 5:00 p.m. to reach a recording of the weekly school lunch menu. This is a service provided by Food Services and is recorded from their office.
Please call the office at 837-7400 by 8:30 am to report absences, providing the student's name, teacher's name and the reason for the absence. The Issaquah School District excuses absences for illness, other health conditions, death in the family, medical appointments, religious observance, school-approved activities, family emergencies, and disciplinary actions as required by law.
If your child's absence will be extended there is now a Prearranged Absence Form that needs to be filled out prior to your child’s absence. The forms can be picked up in the office and are available on the Sunny Hills Website. Please just drop your completed form by the office. Consider your absence request excused, unless you hear otherwise.
In case of an emergency, we need to know who is in the building at all times. Therefore, if you are bringing a student in late, sign them in at the office. If you are picking a student up before the end of the day, come to the office to sign them out and we will call for them. Children can only be released to names on the Emergency Contact List. Picture ID is required. Please do not go to their classroom.
If your child loses an article of clothing, school materials, a lunch box or other possessions, please check the lost and found located in the Multi-Purpose room. We request that personal possessions be labeled with a child's name so that we may easily locate the owner. Unclaimed items are donated to the Issaquah Clothing Bank periodically.
Children should not bring expensive or treasured personal possessions to school, since the district cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items.
Children may ride a bus other than their regular one: 1) with a written request from the parent to the school indicating the bus route they will be on and whose house they will be going to and 2) if space is available. If a child normally rides a bus and will not be riding the bus, please send a note. Without a note we will have to put them on their regular bus.
NO BUS PASSES WILL BE ISSUED THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF SCHOOL OR THE LAST TWO WEEKS OF SCHOOL
By State Law, all medication must be kept in the office in its original container along with an oral medication form. All prescription medication and over the counter medication must have an authorization form signed by the student's doctor on record here at school. .
